Domestic Air Conditioning

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

Asthma and allergies are very common today as we all have central heating and carpeting in our homes instead of floor tiles or hardwood oak flooring.  Home comforts like these created the best breeding ground for dust mites.  Pollutants like CO2 emissions and other allergens like pollen and dust mite droppings in the atmosphere trigger asthma.

An air purifier filters air in a room and takes allergens from the air.  Fine animal hairs, pollen and other allergens are taken from the air to help reduce asthmatic reactions.  These are a great method to maintain conditions in a small space but without regular cleaning and ventilation they will have a limited effect.

Domestic Air Conditioning

Most people know air conditioning is more commonly found in vehicles and environments that need stable conditions like server room air conditioning.  Domestic air conditioning can let asthmatics control their sickness in a better way.  Domestic air conditioning allows consistant environmental conditions to be maintained that reduces humidity, which in turn reduces levels of dust mites and mould.  One of the few issues with air con is that it is expensive to repair if broken and they also require frequent air conditioning maintenance.  If you suffer from asthma then you should think about air conditioning installation and replacing your carpet with floor tiles as it will help improve your health
